Colors: The American Poultry Association has standardized Black Minorcas, Buff Minorcas, and White Minorcas. The Buffs and Whites are very difficult to find good ones of but the blacks do exist. There are also blues in the UK.
History: Minorcas are named after Minorca Island near Spain. In Animal Farm by George Orwell Black Minorcas are mentioned as rebelling against Napoleon.
