Live Guarantee on all birds! We will, at our determination, replace or refund the purchase price of all birds that arrive dead in excess of possible extras. Please count the live birds, not the dead ones. To cover for any losses we try to include extra, but if we are short on chicks that week we do not include extras.

Ship Dates: To specify ship date please leave a comment in the Order Comments on the bottom of the last page of checkout. Please give us a range of acceptable dates. Example: I would like my chicks to arrive in March. The date that we give you will be the shipping date. The baby chicks always arrive either on the next day or the second day. We do our best to schedule shipments and keep that date. If we are unable to provide chicks that hatch day we will either reschedule or give a refund.

Returns and Refunds: Chicks cannot be returned. We guarantee 90% sexing accuracy. We will refund the difference for all excess birds of the other sex. We do not guarantee or represent their quality. Cancellations on chick orders that we can provide within 30 days of ordering are subject to 20% cancellation fee. No refunds on cancellations within 7 days of ship date.

Books can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Expect your refund within 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper.

Quality: Our birds are purebred and represent the breed & variety; but we do not guarantee or represent their quality.

We ship all of our chicks via United Postal Service Priority Mail. According to post-office rules established in 1924, day-old chickens, ducks, geese, partridges, pheasants, guinea fowl, quail and turkeys can be mailed if they aren't more than 24 hours old.

The chicks will be shipped to your post office. They will call you when they arrive to come pick them up. They will not deliver them directly to you.

For up to three days after they hatch, baby chicks are still ingesting their yolk sacs. This provides them all the nourishment they need, which allows us the narrow window we need to ship them out. After 72 hours, their yolk sacs are gone and they need immediate access to food and water. Without it, they'll die. If we were to ship chicks at 3 days old or a week old, they surely wouldn't survive the trip.

Feed during shipment: The yolk sacs will be enough to feed the chick until it arrives at its destination, but if you would like some Gro-Gel Plus to be included which is like jello which provides hydration and nutrients for the chicks in transit you can do that for an extra $5.00.

Baby Chick Boxes: We ship the chicks in boxes with holes so it is properly ventilated.

Days of the Week: We ship chicks on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can request a day of the week and we will try to accomadate that. We do not ship on Sundays.

Pickup: We do not allow pickup. Purely Poultry is a sales office for several breeders in different locations. We can have our breeders ship birds to your local post office for you to pickup.

International: We serve the 50 United States and Puerto Rico. We do not ship internationally.

Post Office Rules: Check this link for the Postal service regulations on chick shipping.
