The Golden Laced Wyandotte Chicken is a great pet chicken. They are a wonderful addition to any backyard coop. This breed is firmly established as a good producer as well as having delicious meat. The Golden Laced Wyandotte Chicken has a rose comb and is a cold-hardy bird.

The Wyandotte chicken is an American breed named after a North American Indian tribe. Throughout history, the tribe resided from the Great Lakes to Ohio and Kansas. Chicken breeds are generally named after their original localities. Since 1888 the Golden Laced Wyandotte chicken breed is recognized by the American Standard of Perfection.

The Golden Laced Wyandotte chickens have black and golden feathers. The feathers make a pattern that looks like lace. The tail is black. The comb, earlobes, and wattles are a red rose color. The appearance is beautiful. They look good in any backyard coop.
