White Plymouth Rock Chickens were first introduced in the late-nineteenth century and are named after the town from which they originated. Female White Plymouth Rock Chickens are commonly used in commercial chicken production. The White Plymouth Rock was admitted to the American Standard of Perfection in 1888.
