The Snowflake Bobwhite Quail are a special and rare color variant of the Bobwhite Quail, originated from the Mexican Speckled Bobwhite Quail. These very special birds are the result of one breeder's luck and his ability to recognize that he had stumbled upon an amazing new mutation of the Bobwhite Quail. We are very excited to offer them as they are very difficult to find and extremely rare!
Snowflake Bobwhite Quail remind one of the miniature Ptarmigans that are just in between spring and winter molts. Snowflake Bobwhite Quail are mostly white with dark speckles, like little v's all over. Males and females are very similar in color, but males have more black in their facial markings.
Snowflake Bobwhite Quail weighs about 7 ounces but are plump and solid birds. They make great hunting birds and can be raised for producing meat and eggs. The special snowflake coloring makes them thrilling and dramatic.
Snowflake Bobwhite Quail can be raised like any quail, and are quite easy to take care of, and are hardy and adaptable.
