Wyandotte Bantams are very popular bantams. Like their standard counterparts, they are robust and productive, as well as beautiful and colorful. They have a solid and round look to them, and their rose combs allow them to be particularly winter hardy. Their large eyes and chunky beak gives them a very handsome appearance.

Like most bantams, Wyandotte Bantams are raised mostly for the joy of raising chickens. They are ornamental and because of their friendly personality, they make great backyard companions. They do lay a nice number of bantam-sized brown eggs, and are quite economical, laying plenty of eggs while consuming less feed and taking up less space.

Wyandotte Bantams are originally from England, and many of the colors were admitted into the APA in 1933. Wyandotte Bantams have been rising in popularity since then and have become very popular entries in American Poultry Shows recently.
