Tibetan quail are a hardy, spirited bird that, at 8-12 weeks of age, will be ideal for release and/or hunting! The Tibetan is a strong, aggressive bird that flies quickly and will give your dog a good workout!
These dark plumaged birds, 8-10 oz. at full maturity, are suitable for both eggs and meat, as well, often laying an egg a day starting at just 6 weeks of age! Tibetan quail do covey the same as bobwhite and can recall the same also, but sometimes need to be trained to do so.
Like any quail, Tibetans require a minimal amount of space and care to be happy and healthy. Approximately 1 square foot of space per bird, in a tall or soft-topped pen with game-bird feed and occasional treats will keep your quail healthy, producing, and fun to raise!
