Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail Eggs

Purchased 25 eggs, received 28. All arrived very well packed and on the day I requested them to arrive thru the notes on the order page. Out of the 28 eggs, 23 were fertile, 5 never had any growth. I will only count those 23 eggs as possible hatches in the percentage rate. 20 hatched out of the 23. Out of those 20, 18 survived. Which gives me a 87% hatch rate and a 78% survival rate. This was my very first time ever hatching quail or any type of bird. Birds are now 11 days old and very healthy and active.

If I were to request anything different from Purely Poultry, it would be to leave out any "odd" colored or formed eggs. I had received two oddities, they were fertile, but neither hatched. I assume it was because the shell was thicker/harder then normal. So out of all the normal eggs, 20 of the 21 hatched out of the fertile eggs.

Overall, I have no complaints. Great eggs, excellent shipping, and perfect customer service when it comes to the actual order notes/requests.
